1. Compare and contrast the views of John Searle and Rene Descartes on dualism.
- John Searle’s view on dualism was called the Supervenience theory. This theory originates from two aspects, both mental and physical that become a single substance. On the other hand, Rene Descartes believed that mental and physical are two different substances called substance dualism. He stated that there is an immaterial essence that is the mind and a material essence, which is the body. These thoughts and feelings are immaterial which means that it exists in the mind and the body exists in the material space.

Basically, if you are a reasonable, intelligent person you could understand, God is a fairy tale used by powerful people to control the weak.
