Born on February 25, 1902, John Steinbeck is a well-known writer. The experiences of his life influenced his writing a lot and helped others understand what happens in others peoples lives. His father, John Ernst Steinbeck, worked at multiple jobs to keep the family fed, those include: owning a feed-and-grain store, managing a flour plant, and served as a treasurer of Monterey Court. While growing up, Steinback adores his house in California. From the imagery that is used to depict the Californian landscapes, it easily said that a great influence existed. The book that started the chain of triumph appeared to be Tortilla Flat (1935). Based on a true story, the plot followed the adventures of Danny and his friends, all of them form non-white cultures. After that, everything kept rolling along with more books that came out to be popular―those included: In Dubious Battle (a study of a labor strike in California), Of Mice and Men, The Red Pony (often viewed as a children’s book), and his grand novel, The Grapes of Wrath. All these books contain things in common. One thing all books incorporated is the realisticity of them and the dialogues used to capture natural speech. The migrants of California did not have as much trouble as migrant workers now. One difference that is a lot harder to face now than before is the lack of legal citizenship and status in the U.S. The Californian migrants did not have that trouble and could start a life anywhere they decided to. Another thing to make it harder not, is that the farmers are not as recognized as they appeared to be before 2016. Back in the 1930’s people understand the importance of farms and that they supply food. Now we just wave it off as if it is an everyday thing. A similarity between now and the 1930’s is that the border control and such people are there to stop migrants. As already mentioned, not all Californian migrants were allowed entrance, just as now some illegal migrants are caught and arrested. Another similarity is that it is hard to successfully start a life in a new country, people have, do, and will always struggle to fit in. A new life means no friends, connections, or appropriate recommendations to get a good high-paying
