When I first took a look to this work I literally horrified my self and stopped reading it, then, going for a second chance, I realized that this person was not writing seriously about eating children as if they were porks or chickens, obviously Jonathan Swift was mocking, or being sarcastic about the chaotic situation prevailing in Ireland by that time.Probably he felt frustrated and overwhelmed by the problems he saw on his everyday life, the economic and political crisis faced by the country drove him to write, mainly, about the female genre and children, surely the weakest groups on this society, struggling with getting food and money to survive. Swift's argument was motivated by his believes, England was the oppressor exploiting
