Jedediah S. Smith Obituary Maycee Stringham 5th Period Jedediah S. Smith was born June 24, 1798 in New York. He was one of the greatest trappers and explorers. He became one of the “Ashley Men” in 1822. Jedediah was a skinny man with brown hair and blue eyes. He was the fourth oldest of 12 kids.
Mansa Musa was the Emperor of Mali in the fourteenth century, he was known for being the richest ruler. He was born around 1230 and died around 1337. Mansa Musa is mostly known for his journey to the Muslim holy city in Mecca where he was introduced him to rulers in the Middle East and in Europe. Musa came to the throne of West Africa’s Mali Empire through a practice of appointing a deputy when a king goes on his pilgrimage to Mecca or journeys somewhere else and later naming the deputy as heir. According to historians, Musa was appointed the deputy of Abubakari II.
The reporting party (RP) stated on 7/21/15 a probation compliance search was performed on family member Joseph Apodaca Sr. in the family child care home. It was discovered the home was an immediate hazard to children. Present during the search were Elizabeth De La Rosa, Erica De La Rosa, and Citlaly Lopez. Also present were their children Michael Dominguez age 2 DOB 1/20/13, Isabella Garcia age 7 DOB 12/02/14, and Joseph Apodaca Jr age 1 DOB 3/17/14.
Wes Pomeroy was the head of security at Woodstock. He originally said no to helping out with the event, but after Stanley Goldstein, director of operations, told him the reason for the event and the goal they were trying to reach, Pomeroy agreed to help out because he believed in what they were trying to accomplish (Makower, 1989, p. 60). He agreed to help with Woodstock without using violence of any kind because they wanted this to be a peaceful event (Makower, 1989, p.61) Throughout the event, Pomeroy tells about all the drug use, how dirty everything was, sexual freedoms and how happy everyone was.

However, it all started in 1585 when Robert White married Bridget Allgar and had a daughter named Mary White. Robert White was a rich man who was friendly to non-conformists at the time which was rather odd considering the time period; nonetheless, their daughter was baptized in 1590. Then several years later in 1614, three years before her father’s death, Mary White married Joseph Loomis a successful cloth merchant in Braintree, England.
Kyam Livingston was a 37 year old mother of two, from Brooklyn, New York who died under police custody in July of this year. During an escalated argument with her elderly grandmother, over alcoholic consumption police were called to the scene. Prior to this altercation, Livingston had made an agreement with her grandmother, a legalized order of protection that was established prohibiting alcohol or fighting in the household. When police arrived she was immediate arrested and taken to King County hospital where she was given treatment for her intoxication. About 8 hours later she was taken to a holding cell in in Brooklyn to wait arraignment.
Duke Kahanamoku was an Olympic surfer from Hawaii, he was born August 24, 1890 in the Kalia District of Honolulu. Kahanamoku introduced surfing to the world after it almost died out with other local Hawaiian traditions in the nineteenth century. European people came to Hawaii around 1778 and adored the traditions of the native people and quickly joined in riding the waves on flat boards. Christian missionaries later had the local Hawaiians believe that surfing was uncivilized and tried to ban the sport. Disease it the island with great power, taking the population rom 300,000 to 40,000 in 1893.
The False Accusation of an innocent man Leroy Orange puts him onto Death Row. Leroy Orange and his half brother Leonard Kidd were accused for the murder of 4 people, who I will go into more depth later. From a corrupt cops torture Orange to the verge of death. Leroy Orange was accused of Charges of murders, concealment of homicidal death and aggravated arson.
James Oglethorpe, the founder of Georgia, was the one to lead English settlers to the colony. The Spanish were there originally, but 1730, when James led the settlers, the Spanish were mainly gone. James led the settlement as a refuge for the poor and debtors. He also made a multifaceted plan for settling and government called Oglethorpe Plan, which will be touched upon further in the governments slide.
John Robert Lewis was born February 21,1940, Outside of Troy, Alabama. John Robert Lewis had a happy childhood, even though he needed to work hard to assist his sharecropper parents be he chafed against the unfairness of segregation. As I sat down with John Robert Lewis and among my other peers he shared with us everything about his childhood, his job as a sharecropper was to raise the chickens. He did he job very good and he enjoyed raising them chickens. Him and his siblings would gather the chickens all together and John Lewis would preach as of the chickens knew what he was saying.
William Johnson is a United States Senator of Connecticut. Johnson is also a politician and a clergyman. Johnson is a major benefactor for the Constitution Convention. Johnson helps influences the decision of the debate at the Constitution Convention. William Johnson is born on October 7, 1727, at Stratford, Connecticut.
According to Tulsa World reporter Tim Stanley, World War II veterans remember: pilot Frank Slane invaded Germany in a glider. Slane’s article “Pilot Frank Slane invaded Germany in a glider” on August 10, 2015 states that when Frank Slane volunteered for the Army Air Corps at 18, He did picture his service being in a glider called CG-4A as they had no power source of their own. Because they had no power source of their own they have to be taken to their destination by a C-47. Pilots today would be proud of the aircraft of its ability to carry troops and equipment to other areas of the war. Slane was capable to get more then thirteen thousand hours in the air from his first service period till 1975 and was the first member of the service to ever
Kenny Dobbs may be in his 20’s, but you wouldn’t know it from his accomplishments. He is recognized internationally as the best basketball slam dunk artist in the world. Kenny has toured with the NBA and sprite as a celebrity dunker, performing in front of sold out stadiums during halftime shows, celebrity games and NBA all star weekends. His talent is recognized globally. In 2012, through the release of the NBA 2K13 video game, Kenny’s amazing dunk moves were used to create the high flying dunks done by the NBA players.
Despite having lived a short life, Robert Peace was very well known, even as a child. Robert Peace was a man who was very much loved by the people in his community. He was always known as the “nerd” and the smart kid of the class since he was just three years old. “It’s because he’s so smart and knows everything.” (Hobbs 17)
Frederick Law Olmsted, Jr. was more of a city planner than his father. Olmsted, Jr. was a very important member of the City Beautiful and the City Efficient movements during the Progressive Era. He was more into making an urban environment beautiful rather than his father’s work to make urban parks, an oasis in the urban area. He once gave his idea for a motto for city planning, declaring, “Its aim is efficiency; its measure economy; its outcome Beauty.” Just as Olmsted was a leader in landscape architecture, his son was a leader in city planning.
