Joseph Stalin of Russia was a fearless leader who was former General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. Stalin's birth name is Iosif Vissarionovich Dzhugashvili. He got his name of Stalin like most other Bolsheviks, he became commonly known by one of his revolutionary names Stalin was only the last. "Stalin" is based on the Russian word сталь stal, meaning "steel", and the name as a whole is supposed to mean "man of steel.” Stalin liked this name because it created fear throughout Russia. When people heard Stalin it was said their mannerisms changed drastically.
