Religion is way more than just a title, a group of people or the thing everybody else does. Religion has a way to connect people, give them meaning and a place to come and present themselves to a figure more holy, and wise. Religion gives hope to people in saddened times, and the will-power to people who need to take the next step. For many people on earth religion is a special part of their lives and provides beliefs values and faith throughout their lives. Judaism, Christianity and Islam are three major religions that all share a monotheistic view in that there is only one true God. In Islam tradition God had father or son, and no one is equal to him. He is ruler over everyone and should be praised and worshiped. Abraham just like the two other religions mentioned is known as in Islam a key prophet and messenger. Abraham also referred to as Ibrahim also plays a role in an example of faith, for Muslims. Meaning they saw and recognized the faith Abraham put into God and followed him no matter what the cost were. The Quran, Islam’s bible presented by Muhammad also unfolds truths about Abraham and how he would be the leader of nations, again connecting the three regions through Abraham and Jerusalem. Understanding Muslims can be partially understood by the origin of the words of Islam and Muslim, in class the meaning behind the names were discovered meaning “submission” and “one who submits” as well as Salam which means peace, a key principle in Muslim belief. Another huge aspect of Islam is messengers and prophets. The Quran mentions many messengers and prophets that were dedicated to spreading the word of Allah. Some of those individuals include; Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad. Islam specifically focus on the founder of Islam, Muhammad who born in 570 CE in Mecca. Muslims believe he was chosen by God to reveal revelations from Allah through the angel Gabriel, which eventually turned into the Quran.
