Feminist movements started in the early 1920’s when women got the right to vote but during the late 1960’s the second wave of feminist movement happen in the United States. During the 1910’s to the 1960’s women were still trying to figure out their role in society and during the late 60’s the feminist art work started to develope. Women like Eve Hesse had develop the artwork of feminist by showing imagery of female bodies, personal experiences and the ideas of domestically. Then at the end feminist artist linked up their artworks to all have a theme and fought for gender equality and included words in their paintings. Judy Chicago, one of the earliest feminist artist was born in 1939 at Chicago, Illinois. Then by the 1970’s Judy has created programs at schools like Fresno State in were it was a unique program that will focus on art education and feminist art. Then by 1974 the city of chicago wanted to focus on women's history month and turn their finger to Judy Chicago “The Dinner Party” exhibit in were Judy shows many viewers and artist about the richness of women heritage.
