The purposes of the article are to 1) provide real life examples of difference in teamwork through Julia Rozoxsky’s experience, 2) discuss the importance of teamwork, 3) introduce research conducted on teams, 4) reveal findings about successful teams, 5) describe how to implement successful group norms, and 6) explain usefulness of insights over team interaction. This article addresses these information through findings from Project Aristotle conducted by Google.
Difference in Teamwork through Julia Rozovsky
During her studies at Yale University, Rozovsky was assigned to a study group to practice working in teams. Although her group had a lot in common, it was a source of stress for Rozovsky. Rozovsky also joined a team for case competitions

Research Conducted on Teams
Google, who became focused in building the perfect team, started Project Aristotle to study hundreds of Google’s team and figure out why some teams are successful while others are not.
Rozovsky, who was assigned to this project and other Project Aristotle’s researchers began by reviewing academic studies and the composition of groups inside Google. Despite not finding patterns on the composition of teams, these researchers found that understanding and influencing group norms were keys to improving teams.
Findings about Successful Teams
In 2008, research was conducted over whether the collective I.Q. within a team is distinct from the smarts of any single member. They recruited people, divided them into groups, and gave each group a series of assignments. Teams that performed well on one assignment usually did well on all the others and vice versa. Although they did not all behave in the same way ,they concluded that what distinguished the good and dysfunctional teams was how teammates treated one
