William Shakespeare has been known for making multiple plays that are still read and performed for over 450 years and continuing. One of his well-known plays is “The Tragedy of Julius Caesar”. In the “Tragedy of Julius Caesar” Act 1, the play mostly revolves around 3 characters; Cassius, Brutus, and Caesar. The relationships between those threes characters tend to be different from one another. Cassius tends to dislike Caesar but he likes Brutus. Brutus likes Cassius but he doesn’t know if he should like Caesar while on the other hand, Caesar disapproves on Cassius but he approves on Brutus. We learned that Caesar does not like Cassius as he believes he’s not a man to trust while on the contrary, Caesar likes Brutus and doesn’t have a problem with him. An example was we see Caesar not liking Cassius is when he ’s being suspicious on Cassius as the text is stated in the play “ Let me have men about me that are fat, sleek-headed men, and such as sleep a-nights. Yond Cassius has a lean and hungry look; he thinks too much; such men are dangerous” (1.2.192-195). This example helps us see that Caesar is now being suspicious of Cassius and he will surely be keeping on eye on him. An example when we see how Caesar likes Brutus is Cassius is talking to Casca and he tells him “ Caesar doth bear me hard, but he loves Brutus..” (1.2.313). This example lets us see how Cassius already knows that Caesar approves on Brutus which will make it less suspicious for Caesar to suspect that Brutus might be dethroning him. Understanding these relations in the perspective of Caesar is important to predict what will happen next since now we’ll know how Caesar will function towards these two characters. He’s going to be hard on Cassius but on Brutus, he’ll be weak and that is Cassius will take
