In the beginning, June goes to swim class for the first time. Soon, she meets a bully who has the same name as her and the bully says she can’t use that name. In the end June moves and thinks that all her problems are over, until she finds out she goes to school with the bully. This story shows that June wants to protect her mom.
After Michael Brown and his friend leave a local convenient store the two young men begin walking across the street. Officer Darren Wilson then arrives at the scene informing the two young men to move on the sidewalk. He uses a map of the area to exhibit the positions of both Brown and Wilson. Once Officer Wilson is notified the Brown fits the description of a suspect accused of robbing a local convenience store he calls the local dispatcher. This helps the reader understand why the young man was targeted in the first place.

Courage Gives you the strength to stand up for what you believed in, even when your all alone, to shout out the top of your lungs when all other remained silent. In the novel Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry Mildred Taylor use Stacey Logan as an young adult that as to stand up for himself and his family. This novel take place in the time of segregation and when the white people don’t respect for black people and whites treated the black like if they were invisible. But Stacey proves his courage by stand up for himself and help T.J. get home while T.J. was injured, and stand up for his siblings. Stacey is very courageous character is my point for view because he would do anything for his family and friends.
