Hitler was eventually wounded in the line of battle and while he was getting fixed up in the hospital he had heard that the Germans had surrendered and he blamed some of it on the Jews.

Hitler could not get enough support and his attempted coup was easily put down. This revolt was called the Munich Beer Hall Putsch. At Hitler’s trial, he made long public speeches which were widely and sympathetically supported as he condemned the Treaty of Versailles which many people agreed with.
