Ethos refers on the character and trust of the speaker. In the beginning of his speech the use of ethos is more constant, because he tells the German people how good and powerful he is. He tries to convince the people that his only desire is to serve his people which are the Germans. People in today’s society, often wonder, how someone as evil as Adolf Hitler, can gain so much power, and be in charge of a whole nation.
