I'll be writing an analysis essay on "the story of an hour." made by written by Kate Chopin published on December 6, 1894, it tells a story in the late nineteenth century in Mallard family home in one hour.
The protagonist is Louise Mallard who had heart trouble, her sister Josephine tried her best to break the news for her that her husband died.
After she knows that her husband died in a train accident, she went to her room, Louise Mallard loved her husband (sometimes) "she had loved him--sometimes," she looked out the window, at the trees and smiling the fresh air. "She could see in the open square before her house the tops of trees that were all aquiver with the new spring life. The delicious breath of rain was in the air" the author wanted us to imagine the view that she saw.

she like the idea of being free, she would live her life as she wanted for her self, not for her husband "There would be no one to live for during those coming years; she would live for herself.", in this sentence, we see that the Author Kate Chopin used irony.
Josephine, her sister, was knocking on the door and saying "Louise, open the door! I beg; open the door--you will make yourself ill. What are you doing, Louise? For heaven's sake open the door." and Mallard said "Go away. I am not making myself
