In the Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. An important character that helped me understand an important message in the hunger games is Katniss one important message Katniss showed me, even if you are poor and struggling with life you have to keep moving on. Another idea she showed me is sometimes you have to sacrifice for the ones you love and protect them. Lastly another idea Katniss showed me is to not give up no matter how hard it is. An example of this is when Katniss’s father died in the coal mining incident, Katniss mother fell apart and fell into depression, so Katniss decided to be the head of the family, as their father was the one who hunted and brought the food home.
