Kenneth Mcduff was a was a known serial killer and had a life of crime from the time he was a teenager. As a child he was known as a bully and had disciplinary issues up until the time he met his match and he was thoroughly embarrassed. Shortly thereafter McDuff quite school and went to go work with his dad at his cement company doing manual labor. During this time his rowdiness went to a new level by robbing stores by county to county. By going to county to county this made it harder to gather evidence to convict him. Ultimately they were able to gather enough evidence to convict him and kenneth mcduff was now serving his first sentence. In 1966 McDuff and his accomplice Roy Dale Green were convicted to killing 3 teenagers Richard Brand, his girlfriend Edna Sullvian, and his cousin Mark Dunnam. The two males were shot through the trunk of the car. While Edna was rapped multiple times by both McDuff and Green and was strangled to death by 3 foot broomstick. Which was how he gained the title “The Broomstick Killer”. The two went to a mutual friends house (Richard Boyd) to wash the car and green ended up telling the parent on what they’ve done. The parents ended up talked Green into confessing to the authorities. McDuff receive 3 death sentences and the electric chair. McDuff death sentences were reduced to a life sentences due to Supreme Court striking down death penalty statutes. McDuff hired an attorney who provided a dossier that showed evidence that Green was the actual killer. When Mcduff was eligible to parole in 1989 he received 2 out of the 3 votes for early
