Kenya is one of the most developing countries in East Africa. It is positioned right along the equator on the Eastern coast. The capital city of Kenya is Nairobi. The Kenyan land is mostly dry grassland, swamps, desert, and high mountains. Some say that this country is twice the size of Nevada or Texas. Its population is estimated to be 47.8 million and constantly increases every year. You may wonder what the climate is like in Kenya since it is considered a dry land. The country only receives about half of its rain fall in March through May. The climate is densely humid and hot throughout the year. Since Kenya lies near the equator there isn't sufficient time to experience winter nor summer. However, it does have a wet and dry season that goes on for certain months. The dry season usually falls around June through October and the wet season is normally from November through May. During the dry season the sky is clear and the sun is out. Lions, giraffes, elephants, rhinos, and zebras are all the wildlife animals that are able to be spotted in safari. Safari is one of the main tourist “to do list” because tourists like to explore the different things a country has to offer. Kenya offers wildlife viewing throughout the year but sometimes the tourists luck out on seeing some to any animals due to the timing they chose to explore. The perfect time to go view animals on a safari tour is during the dry season from June to October. A definite worth seeing migration during this time is the wildebeest migration. The migration begins in Serengeti and when they reach this point they cross into the historic landmark park called Maasai Mara. It is definitely a sight worth seeing because it reminds you of the movie The Lion King when the animals
