Because Arthur didn’t accept the game fairly quickly, it demonstrates that he doesn’t contain a few qualities it takes to be a good king. Also during the party, Arthur was drunk, which again isn’t something to do while hosting a party. The host shouldn’t be drunk while at their own party because that shows his guests he doesn’t care. Arthur displays a liking for amusement and games when he does not want to eat until he is entertained.
The Morality of a Knight Have you or someone you know showed courage in your lives? There was and always will be many stories that probably have the same of amount of courage as the people you know or see in the news. One of those stories is “The Tale of Sir Launcelot du Lake”, which tells the tale of one of King Arthur’s most beloved and talented knight, Sir Launcelot. He loves to adventure and help others with moral courage. However, Sir Launcelot is not the only sense of moral courage in this story.

Lancelot is shown as a flawed man, but an incredibly masculine and chivalrous one and those qualities allow him to be redeemed of his affair with Guinevere and he gains the recognition from Arthur as the quintessential knight moments before Arthur's death, "My truest. My first knight." This is an accurate depiction of the Arthurian lore in the sense that Lancelot's chivalrous nature was enough to earn the forgiveness of Arthur because of Arthur's extremely chivalrous nature, but the rest of the characterizations of Lancelot are more reflective of modern chivalry.
Arthur was molded by Merlyn’s philosophies because he experienced them all personally growing up, thus he tries his best to follow them. However, he sometimes fails to follow his own dogma; an example would be him knowing Lancelot and Guenever having an affair behind his back, but he tries to ignore it because of his excessive trust in his friends. Before Arthur’s battle with Mordred, he has already developed into complex figure; “Perhaps man was neither good nor bad, was only a machine in an insensate universe” page 630. During his contemplation, he had several epiphanies about human nature.
The idea of a farm boy becoming the true king was so repulsive to some nobles that they refused to acknowledge that Arthur was successful in pulling out a sword, forcing him remove the sword multiple times, until the common people demanded that Arthur has proven his worth and that he should be crowned king. Even after being crowned king, he was engaged in the Eleven Kings War, where eleven nobles claiming to be the true kings challenged Arthur to the throne. In Sir Gawain and the Green Knight the theme is based on integrity, all of which is categorized in a romance. Knights are judged by their behavior and also by the code of chivalry. In this poem, King Arthur and his knights are challenged. The chivalry of King Arthur’s court is challenged by the Green Knight” however, in embarrassment of his fellow men King Arthur takes on the challenge himself only for Sir Gawain, his nephew, to take him on instead as he claims he has nothing to lose. To put it differently, Gawain’s integrity was challenged.
In the tale Morte d’ Arthur, a story of battles and chivalric moments of King Arthur then leading up to his death. One of the main topics discussed in Morte d’ Arthur and the film is the chivalric code and knightly behavior. As much as Monty Python and the Holy Grail was a mock film, throughout the opening scenes there were knights that were tested for chivalric code. These knights were tested for their loyalty, bravery, and honesty to themselves and their king.

Part of Arthur wants to warn Guenever and Lancelot that Agravaine and Mordred are plotting their destruction, but he must go against his feelings because if he helps them in any way, he would be going against the new justice system he created for the Kingdom and would be aiding their way out of prosecution. Arthur’s life is not very different from day to day and he does not have an exciting life. This part of Arthur’s life is easily seen as the Ordinary World of the Hero’s Journey, where Arthur’s life is nothing out of the ordinary. After the Ordinary World, the hero is given the The Call to Adventure which is when there is a calling to change the character's daily life to adventure on a new path. This stage is parallel to the novel The Sword in the Stone when Arthur is given an order, by Sir Ector, in T.H.White, Sir Ector,”...to start a quest for a new tutor as soon as he had time to do so…” (White 11).

According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, honesty is the quality of being fair and trustful. I have always wondered why people succeed and are considered of great importance. Many tend to succeed through illegal paths, which will vanish faster than they think. Real businessmen build their heritage slowly, step by step through honest actions and decisions. A person who’s honest is not weak or fragile, instead, dares to practice honesty, to be considered trustworthy, and to be transparent in everything they do.
