The definition of the hero has evolved dramatically since the beginning of this myth. Today, I will argue why I dislike heroes in three parts. First, I will demonstrate that heroes can be anything and everything. Then, I will explain that the origins of the hero are based on a myth. Finally, I will prove that the hero is an ideal who doesn’t exist.

First, a hero can be anything and everything. The different definitions that are given to them can confirm that. The definitions state: a hero is a person who is admired for their courage, outstanding achievements or noble qualities; a hero is someone who sacrifices himself for others; a hero is someone who did something proudly. And finally, a hero is someone who fights the devil. There are many definitions for the word « hero » but yet, I think that four definitions are too many to define one word. I will present two different examples of what a hero can be according to the others, the first being Einstein. Einstein had an impressive IQ. He even created the theory of relativity. The legend of King Arthur is one of those myths. We don’t really know whether or not it is a real story or because there was a king called Arthur in the past. It tells the story of a king who wanted to be the husband of a queen. He asked to a wizard to put himself in the place of the husband of this girl. Together they had a baby called Arthur, who was born with superpowers. He was then raised by the wizard without knowing which are his real parents. When the king died, the kingdom had to choose another king. They planted a sword in a stone and they said that the first person to remove the sword shall be the king.
