In Jill Kaufman’s article “Meat Packing Industry,” Kaufman analyses the meat packing crisis and controversy that occurred during the Roosevelt administration in the early 1900’s. In 1906 Author Upton Sinclair released a novel title The Jungle, which sought to critic exploited meat packing workers of that time. While his novel did stir up some commotion, his ultimate goal remained unmet. Americans were appalled at the ways he described the unsanitary methods and procedures of the meat packing industry. This resulted in stricter policies and inspections being put in place; however, whether or not the industry was truly unhygienic and unsanitary remained disputed.

Kosher comes from the Hebrew word “Kashrut,” which means proper or fit, and is most commonly practiced by the Jewish. Halal and Kosher are both incredibly different and similar to each other.

From the time man invented fire, animal meat has been a main part of the human diet. Meat, a product we get from other animals, is a primary source of our daily diet. Over time, we progressed from hunting with our bare hands to using tools, and then to guns, yet in the last century, machines were created to mass produce and process consumable livestock. We don’t even touch the meat ourselves until we are preparing it as a meal. The most common livestock we eat includes poultry, cattle and pigs, according to an article in Business Insider (2014).
For example, dairy products should not be mixed with meat products, for they should be processed separately. Vegetables and fruits should be carefully and monitored before consumer eats it. In a Jewish religion, kosher food is within different religion that have certain ways of handling and eating animals and other sources of food. Kosher food in jewish religion is birds,fish, fruits vegetables, and graped or grape based beverages are allowed. The birds that they can eat are goose, ducks, chicken and turkey.
First of all ,Mark Bittman are mentioning about people's food's consumption and he is talking us that how we need about food. Before he starts to talk main idea ,he said that he is not vegetarion because real topic is animal production like cow chicken, pogs and lambs. At the same time , its benefit or harm for people and of course vegetables. After energy production , thing which damages to environmental more is livestock production. In my opinion , people really must to decrease red and white meat consumption to keep healthy.
Alongside to the economic benefits that meat brings into our society, meat industries also help people from the lower class. Without meat industries, people from the lower class would eventually starve out as their easy and cheap access to food would be taken away from them. Simply eating small grains and vegetables would no longer provide the same amount of nutrients in their diet as previously mentioned in the paragraph above. When people think about a vegan lifestyle, the first question, assumption or judgment is based off their diet. The food choices of a vegan have risen, deep concern, and question regarding whether or not this lifestyle is healthy or not.
