As assistant manager of SoakYa Water Park I’ve had to take on more responsibility. However, this responsibility has taught me more about taking charge of situations and how to handle a crisis and find a solution. Whether the crisis be explaining the dress code for the hundredth time, getting someone a band aid for the cut you can barely see or my personal favorite, the lost parents and found kids. I continue to experience new things every day at SoakYa and every day leaves me more inspired than the last. I’m inspired by the people I work with because they’ve taught me that I can achieve anything I set my mind to.
Little did I fathom that this one act would transform my life forever. Rob Watkins opened the door and asked if I would come in for an interview later that week. I also will learn new interviewing techniques on how make your client feel appropriately validated and emotionally supported. I also need to work on my body language whenever conducting interviews in the future.

My interest in Accounting stemmed from my optimistic expectation about career development in this field.
