When I saw King Duncan’s body, bloody and mauled, I felt an indescribable grief. For all of the good and kindness he showed to me, I am determined to solve the case of his murder and bring justice to him, just as he would have done for me. The problem is that there are so many suspects. Seven in total, to be exact. To make matters more complex, They all have incriminating and absolving attributes.
In Act 2 Scene 3, Macbeth attempts to shift the blame for the crime away from himself. He had just murdered Duncan the night before, and he was desperate to avoid suspicion on himself, saying some things that would raise questions normally. Macbeth’s actions start fairly mundane, with him acting as if he didn’t know the murder occurred, saying, “What’s the matter?” (2.3.75). Macbeth acts as if he had no idea about Duncan’s death, which is a logical step to cover up his involvement in the murder.
In Act 1, scene 7, lines 1–28, Macbeth debates whether or not he should kill Duncan. The destruction that comes from unchecked ambition will continue to be explored as one of the play’s themes. He is aware of the powerful reasons for murdering the king, but is nagged by self-doubt arising from his fear of retribution both in heaven and on earth and by his likely loss of reputation. In line 13 he says, “I am kinsman and his subject.” This statement serves as a reminder of how grave an outrage it is for the couple to slaughter their ruler while he is a guest in their house.
They finally come to a conclusion that they should and they form a plan to kill him. After the king is killed by Macbeth he feels regret, but the person most responsible for king Duncan’s death is Macbeth.

However Lady Macbeth makes it absolutely clear that if he is brave enough, it is impossible to fail. These quotes show how Lady Macbeth is controlling her husband and she proves herself be the most responsible of Duncan’s death. Some people may say that three witches are the most responsible of the death of Duncan. Macbeth never considered murdering king Duncan until he saw the prophecies of the witches.
Macbeth, by William Shakespeare, is a dark play full of witchcraft and foreshadowing. Lady Macbeth showed scheming qualities throughout the play which had a lot of influence on her husband, Macbeth. Because of her controlling personality, Macbeth was scared to disappoint her. She was the one who positioned the idea of Duncan’s murder into her husband’s mind where he was succumbed by her supremacies and made the ultimate mistake. It was also her idea to place the blame of Duncan’s death on the soldiers.
He chose to kill Duncan when speaking to his wife “I am settled, and bend up Each corporal agent to this terrible feat. Away, and mock the time with fairest show. False face must hide what the false heart doth know.” (1.7.79-82) He has decided not only to kill his king, but to pretend that he is innocent, and take his throne, It is his decision, not Lady Macbeth’s.
After this when the battle is over Macbeth runs into the witches that give him his three prophecies “… Hail to thee, Thane of Glamis! ... Hail to thee, Thane of Cawdor! ... All hail, Macbeth, that shalt be king hereafter!” (Mac. 1.3.51-53) From here Macbeth writes his wife and explains the happenings of the witches, which leads Lady Macbeth to believe that Macbeth shall get what his is promised, this then leads the two to devise a plan to kill Duncan in his sleep.
In this quote said by Lady Macbeth, she is telling Macbeth that the only way he can prove to be a man is if he gets rid of King Duncan: “When you durst do it, then you were a man; And to be more than what you were, you would be so much more the man” (I.vii.48-50). By Macbeth caving to Lady Macbeth’s wants and killing Duncan, this situation starts a chain reaction of killing, led by Macbeth, to gain more power. I believe that if Macbeth had not listened to his wife, this would have changed the outcome of Macbeth becoming a tragic
Lady Macbeth is the Real Murder People can be persuasive to do thing based on others influences. These people are typically close to them and may even be related. In the play Macbeth no is closer to each other like Lady Macbeth and Macbeth. And even though people are responsible for our actions, they may not always be responsible for what made them do those actions. Although in the play Macbeth many people think that Macbeth is the one who is responsible for all the murders it is truly Lady Macbeth because of the influence that she puts on Macbeth and the verbal torment she gave him before murdering King Duncan.
Macbeth calls her his “dearest partner of greatness”, which indicates they have a close relationship, and he considers her equal to him. “Lady Macbeth must act and think "like a man" because good women are by definition subservient, and can exert no recognizable authority.” When there is the idea of murdering King Duncan, she takes control of the situation. She calls on the evil sprits saying, “unsex me here, and fill me from the crown to the toe top-full, of direst cruelty.” She needed to be male in order to kill Duncan because it was believed only men could commit murder, since women were too dainty to do
On the seemingly quiet eve of the 15th of August, King Duncan of Scotland was assassinated in his sleep. King Duncan was celebrating the death of the vulgar rebel MacDonald at the Thane of Cawdor’s Castle briefly before he was killed. MacDonald was killed by the newly appointed Thane of Cawdor, Macbeth, during combat against the Norwegians. Our sources suggest that as King Duncan was sleeping soundly in his room his ‘ professional’ guards were in an alcohol induced slumber.
The witches did give his apparition but they didn 't tell him to kill the King and while murder passed Macbeth’s mind he never truly had the guts to go kill the King. On the other hand, Lady Macbeth had this whole plan and the confidence to execute it, she was the only one from everybody else that was actually willing to commit a crime for the throne. Her confidence and her ambitious personality convinces Macbeth and made him kill the King but even after he killed the kill he never really sure if he wanted to go this way and receive the power with doing a dastardly deed. Later the continuous support leads him to become heartless and made him oblivious to his downfall. Lady Macbeth’s techniques to convincing Macbeth and her greed and her ambitious personality lead Macbeth 's undoing and caused him to suffer through agony.
