The Tragedy of Macbeth is a well known story that revolves around the word “ambition” but this ambition isn’t always self driven by someone, but rather through the influence of someone else who maintains control of the situation. The story is about a man whose desire to be the king and have power leads to the murders of those who might stand in his way. Throughout the story we see many characters who play major parts in how one event follows another, and how some characters seem to completely have control of the events in the story. Although in Macbeth the Three Sisters and Macbeth exhibit some control over the events, Lady Macbeth has the most responsibility.
1. I think that Shakespeare wrote in blank verse because sometimes when I am reading something that rhymes and is super long I eventually don't even understand what I am reading, I think it aids the drama even if it is confusing. I'm just thinking about all the words rhymes and kinda give myself a beat to go off of. So I'm not actually focusing on the sentence just the words that are rhyming. Shakespeare seemed to smart, and plus that is how a lot of things were written back then.

In the beginning of the play, Macbeth is considered a war hero and along with his then friend, Banquo, is called upon by three witches who tell him he will be the next king. ‘Fair is foul and foul is fair,’ (Act I, sc. i, line 10). Deception is a key theme throughout the play of Macbeth. Throughout the play there are many instances where appearances are deceiving. The initial prophecy given by the three weird sisters ultimately sparks the start of a chain of deception that finally leads to the downfall of Macbeth.
In play Macbeth, Shakespeare reveals that an individual’s great desire for power will lead him/her to perform consequential deeds that will scar his/her conscience and change the outcome of his/her life eternally. Macbeth is informed by three witches that he is going to become king and this initiates Macbeth’s thought of becoming powerful. Macbeth doesn’t act on his thoughts until he tells his wife, Lady Macbeth, that he could become king. Lady Macbeth is extremely power hungry and does all she can to convince Macbeth to be just as desirable as her. Together, they come up with a plan to murder King Duncan, so that Macbeth can become king like the witches foretold.
At the start of the play, Macbeth is well respected among King Duncan’s army. He encounters three witches who give him a prophecy that he will become king. At first, Macbeth believes that fate and the natural order will lead him to become king, and he doesn’t have to do anything. Macbeth’s wife convinces him to kill King Duncan, which he eventually proceeds to do. Macbeth continues to commit murders to maintain his power, and he thinks there is no going back.
In Macbeth by William Shakespeare, Macbeth is an ambitious Scottish warrior who receives a royal prophecy from the three witches that he will become the King of Scotland. It is a theatrical tragedy play, about how Macbeth and his wife, Lady Macbeth, want the power of their town. The story developed in Scotland in 1606. Macbeth was a Knight of Duncan, King of Scotland. The story started when Macbeth and his friend Banquo met three witches, ‘The Fateful Sisters’ in the forest. They told them two prophecies: Macbeth will be the King of Scotland, and Banquo’s descendants will too.
Lots of people know about Lady Macbeth, but is she as evil as people think? In the play, Macbeth by William Shakespeare, a very controversial topic is Lady Macbeth being evil or not. In the play, she starts off being a manipulative wife to her husband, as far as to kill the king. But later she kills herself out of guilt when Scotland is in shambles. Lady Macbeth, after much investigating is truly an evil character, as well as manipulative.
The play-wright explores Witches as outcast and interloper as Shakespeare uses simile to describe them as extraordinary. This is demonstrated in the extract “They not look like the inhabitants o’th earth”. The quote implies the witches as not part of this world, perhaps because of the way they look, all frightening and creepy. Firstly the description displays witches as not part of creator’s creation as Banquo describes them using plural noun ‘inhabitants’ to portray them as dweller and unearthly persons/animals. Secondly, this word is usually linked to wickedness and a sense of darkness, which could imply witches as truly agents of Satan and not part of earth but part of Hell/demon’s world.
William Shakespeare’s play Macbeth, the main character; Macbeth, is seen as an evil character. The play is based off of Macbeth’s decisions and his actions to become King. In the beginning Macbeth starts out as a hero in Scotland’s war with Ireland and towards the end he is transformed into a murderer. Macbeth is not wholly evil because of is heroism in the war, his love for Scotland, and because he didn’t want to kill King Duncan initially. Macbeth was brain washed by his wife and tricked into killing the King.
How does Lady Macbeth change over the course of the play? Over the course of the play the characters of both Macbeth and his wife Lady Macbeth develop intensively. They share similar ambitions, but it is Lady Macbeth who dares to do unspeakable things to accomplish them. This creates great conflict within Lady Macbeth who does not conform to the traditional female stereotypes of her epoch.
