SWOSU intramural football team, “Happy Campers”, competed in the NIRSA Regional Championship in Lincoln, Nebraska this past weekend. The Happy Campers have won the past four SWOSU Flag Football Championships and have gone undefeated all four years. With that record, the Happy Campers had the opportunity to travel to the University of Nebraska to play in the NIRSA Regional Championship which featured around 40 teams.
Sherwood Football Game The Sherwood Football program’s biggest rivalry has always been the Tigard Tigers. The were big they were fast but they were no match for our wing-T offense. This game was the deciding game that would assign a team into six-A football playoffs. The starting backs were Gage Fuller and TJ S. Tanner Shadbolt; usually the starting back , was out with a back injury.

Offensively, Duke is loaded with talent and has many players who are capable of scoring the basketball. However, Defense has been a struggle for Duke this season, causing them to lose crucial games. The author summarizes Duke’s transformation by explaining the influences, advantages, and statistics of the zone defense. Duke has not always run zone defense.

The Tennessee Titans are a professional football team in the National Football League. The Titans were first known as the Oilers and played in Houston until they moved to Tennessee and got renamed to the Titans after Greek mythology. While they were known as the Oilers, they played in the AFL, which was a separate league from the NFL. The Oilers won their first AFL championship in 1960 and the merge between NFL and AFL happened in 1970. They kept the name as the Oilers for two years while they were in Tennessee then they moved from a temporary home to there long term home in Nashville, Tennessee.
In Gender and Immortality: Heroines in Ancient Greek Myth and Cult, Deborah Lyons discusses the significance of the heroine in ancient Greek religion and society. She brings up the reality that because of ancient Greek sexism, very little attention has been given to women hero figures. Lyons believes the heroine is involved in the relations between male and female and mortal and immortal. Throughout the text, she attempts to portray the importance of the heroine in ancient Greek society. One such example she provides in the form of Attic-vase painting.
Though Remember the Titans contains a heartfelt and genuine message, the movie sacrifices historical accuracy to portray it. Training at Gettysburg, as depicted in the film, was rife with racial tensions and conflicts. Players regularly got into brawls, unofficially segregated lunch tables, and refused to communicate with players of another race. Julius and Gerry 's fight is a prominent example, escalating to the full-on brawl between the team. However, despite the intensity of the player 's prejudice portrayed in the movie, real life tells a different story.
The Sirens of Titan is an interesting story about a guy that goes on an adventure to Mars, then to Mercury, then back to Earth. Then, he goes to Titan, which is one of Saturn's many moons. The main character in the story is a very wealthy man by the name of Malachi Constant. Malachi Constant is the wealthiest man on planet Earth. While on a flight through space heading to Mars, a fellow by the name of Winston Miles gets warped in a very special area of the solar system and now his whole existence is scattered all across time.
Remember the Titans Film Review Remember the Titans is a classic movie based on a true story based in 1971 Alexandria, Virginia; about the struggles this newly integrated high school football team endure. This movie portrays many leadership themes throughout the movie; authentic, situational, and path-goal. (AUTHENTIC) One player who quickly emerges as a leader is Gerry Bertier; standing out for his personality and traits. He is team captain, passionate about everything he does and wants the best for not only the team as a whole but also the players as individuals.
My point is is that this team has the attitude to win. They dont give up or anything. Even though they dont have the perfect players or the perfect coach, they know their game plan since day 1. They know multiple ways of getting the ball to the basket. The team also knows ho to pass the ball efficiently from one another and across the court.
Myths are known across the globe and within different cultures. The cultures have their own myths on creation, creatures, or the humans on earth. These myths are told to tell how the land and creatures were created. Today two myths from a different culture will be viewed while answering some questions and describing the myths of those cultures. The myths that will be looked at are The Creation of the Titans and the Gods from Greece and Rome and The Aboriginal Creation from Australia.
The night before the tournament we started to worry a little. We felt like we were a little under prepared. We knew that we should’ve practiced a little more
They were able to relate to the one inch at a time proposition of pulling together to come out of the disarray the team was in. They were touched by his honesty and openness in the beginning of his speech, which was an attention getter, then intrigued by the challenge to sacrifice for the team and fight for the inches need to win and survive. The coach ended the speech with a summation of the team fighting for that inch together and then concluded with the question, “…now, what are you gonna do”. The inspired team then went on, played with their heart, and won the football game.
There has been a strong movement stirring among the masses for generations now. Women are actively fighting for equality in a land that promises it. Moreover, every movement possesses some sort of symbol or image to represent their cause. Interestingly, some members who identify with the Women’s Right Movement have incorporated the fictional superhero character Wonder Woman to accomplish this. With this development, it could be reasoned that the revitalizing of this comic book character has spurred a new passion for issues relating to the rights of women.
