The author introduce us to Helen Keller condition where she can neither see nor hear. Deprived of the two ability Keller know nothing about language. The limitation caused by her acquired condition at a tender age leaves her in a dark world that she desire to escape from. The escape is made possible by her teacher Suillivan who teach her to communicate and think through touch. The significance of language as a tool that connect ideas, memory, thought and emotions elevate the need to master it.
