As an EPCC student, life gets pretty hard as you have to juggle a couple of things. First, you have the stress of trying to keep your grades up in school. Second, you have the stress of going back home and dealing with the bills or deal with the stress that parents cause. And last of all, in the case of Jose Aleman, the stress of having a job while trying to keep up with homework. How does one get rid of all that stress?
Rodeo: I read Rodeo and viewed it from both perspectives lateral, and vertical. The young lady, Big Eight, is voicing how Rodeo "used to be for cowboys, used to be a family thing. " There are many "used to be" situations or circumstances that have now become commercialized and used for big profits. Cartoons such as SpongeBob SquarePants and Dora the Explorer were once children/family entertainment. Both have become very lucrative.
There are several Psychological theories that could contribute a path to delinquency. They include psychodynamic theory, the attachment theory, the moral development theory and the behavioral theory just to name a few. In researching information on Eric Smith, I believe he had several underlying issues that contributed to his violent senseless crime against a helpless little boy. I feel the lack of moral development was a huge factor that caused this youth to explode. Eric Smith was 13 years old, in 1993, when he murdered Derrick Robie, a 4-year-old little boy.
The first book, in The Odyssey, starts with Muse being called to sing. The story begins after the Trojan War where all the heroes have returned home except for Odysseus. The story opens in the middle of Odysseus’s voyage home, since he is still in Troy when all the other heroes have gone home. Odysseus’s journey home is not the only journey in the Odyssey though. It starts off with Telemakhos, Odysseus’s son.
The movie Inside Out is about 11-year-old Riley who lives in Minnesota with her Mom and Dad. What makes this film so unique is that the story is ultimately about Riley’s emotions, Sadness, Anger, Anxiety, Disgust, and of course, Joy. The audience experiences Riley’s life through the lens of Joy, the protagonist. Joy’s primary goal was to keep Riley and most of her memories happy, but when the family moved from their home in Minnesota to California, Riley’s emotions started acting differently, specifically Sadness. For example, Sadness touched a memory, and subsequently became tainted with sadness, which greatly troubled Joy.
