I would like to go the the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy because it would train me to become a police officer. The location of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy is P.O Box 313 on 5402 Sugar Grove Road in Plainfield, Indiana.There are many things to do around the academy. So at the end of the day when students don’t have anything else to do they can roam the city and have some fun and because they do not serve dinner there is a wide variety of restaurants that the students can eat at.There are many buildings at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. They have built a defensive driving course and firearm range in the 1980’s and they have a tactical engagement center, 5 acre dive training pond for underwater search and rescue, fitness center and trails, vehicle storage, and a maintenance garage to repair the cars if they stop working.The school is a public police academy and to join the person must be hired by a police station before they can go to the academy. There are no benefits they can get through the Law Enforcement Academy.The first basic law enforcement training course was conducted in the summer of 1969 at Indiana Central College and now the University of Indianapolis. In December of 1969 the Academy moved to the Indiana University campus at Bloomington and remained there until January 1, 1975. On January 6, 1975 training began in the new …show more content…

The only cost is the extra stuff the students want to buy and dinner. There are no scholarship opportunities available.
