George Eastman, J.P. Morgan, and Andrew Carnegie were Captains of Industry. They were all Captains of Industry because they were all leaders in their own industry. George Eastman was the leader of the film industry. Eastman created the well known Eastman Kodak film company. Eastman developed film and a small, affordable camera that the average person could afford.
Wiggin Charlie Nicknamed the Speed King was a African Motor Racer Pioneer that competed against other people in the Midwest in the early years of the 20th century. Charlie Wiggins was a highly skilled outstanding mechanic, At his time there were not much African American Mechanics, he competed in the annual Indianapolis 500 Motor Race. Through his career Charlie Wiggins fought for African American Mechanics and drivers. Charlie Wiggins was Born in 1897 Evansville, Indiana, Charlie Wiggins was very poor and was raised by his father due to his mother's death his dad did not earn much money because he worked at a coal mine, Charlie Wiggins cleaned shoes at a shoe stand outside an Auto Mechanic after some time he was hired as an helper in 1917.
The roots of how the motor fueled back country racing series known as nascar began in the 1920 's with the rise in need for alcohol, and the increased punishment for getting caught with it, bootleggers had to upgrade their cars to evade the police while on their deliveries. With the souped up cars the bootleggers started to take pride in their driving skills and their mechanical skills because they were able to evade the police time after time and continue to bring in an immense amount of money. In order to evade the police alot of the bootleggers started to customize their vehicles to perform to a higher standard than a stock or regular car could do. They also made inventions to lighten the car and make it easier to evade the cops.

The 1930s was a time that encompassed the Great Depression, tight money, gangsterism and desperate attempts to distract from hard times. It seemed like nothing would be able to stun the people of America after being beat up the past few years, but when the Lindbergh family contacted the police saying that their baby had been kidnapped, America offered their sincere help. The Lindberghs had only recently moved back to New Jersey for a break from Charles Lindbergh’s fame when their child was taken. Evidence was studied at the scene of their missing child’s second-story bedroom. Contact was made with the family in a series of thirteen ransom notes containing instructions until they finally discovered the body of their beloved son.
During this time he developed plans for a horseless carriage and Thomas Edison encouraged him to build a better model. In 1903, Henry Ford established the Ford Motor Company. He also introduced a revolutionary idea: an inexpensive automobile made by
Industrialist, leader in innovation, and founder of Ford Motor Company, Henry Ford was the creator of the first moving assembly line. He greatly impacted the 20th Century, and transformed the automobile from a new money luxury to a modern and practical convenience. His Model T was the first vehicle that middle-class Americans were able to afford. The invention of the Model T would greatly change the society and revolutionize conveniences and transportation.
When asked about it he responded “I had a 1941 ford and I decided to make a racer out of it.” It turned out to be quite the project he took out the windows and the seats then put in a seat belt then he was ready to go. He then took it to a local race track and started racing he even went out some state for some of his races. Overall he loved racing and he turned out to have a love for cars in general after that.

This attracted Ford a lot of attention from investors, who were willing to fund the projects for the next seven years, and that is where he founded his own company which he called ‘The Detroit Automobile Company’, later named ‘The Henry Ford Company’ in 1899. Over the course of three years, his investors grew impatient with Ford, as he was busy perfecting his own designs until he eventually left to form his own company yet again, called ‘The Ford Motor Company’. Ford wanted his vehicles to be perfect for the consumer, and after a month of working in his new company, he finished his newest creation, known as a ‘Model-A’. The factory that made these cars were operating at a snail’s pace, only producing a handful of cars a day. This led Ford to try and invent new ways to make the process of building cars much quicker and cheaper, so that it can be bought by the consumer at a reasonable price by means of producing so many of them, and so, the ‘Model-T’ was invented, which was an extremely successful

Without the approval to explore new ideas and experiment with different plans, Thomas Edison many have never invented the light bulb. Another case in which imagination played a large role is when Henry Ford thought of the idea of having the first buggy without a horse, therefore creating the first automobile run on gasoline. He progressed by learning about steam engines and watches how to build them and take them apart he learned by using trial and error those foundations would build his career (Casey). He may not have invented the automobile or the assembly line but he did create the Model T which was a big advance in automobile history and he kept on improving it which led to the Model A which also led to mass production a useful business strategy used today using low prices and a faster production rate producing many of a certain product making money quicker and more efficient ( . Before then, his career was occupied as a surveyor. It was quite the same way for Thomas Jefferson, the third president.
