In one of the episodes in Parks and Recreation, Leslie wants to help a swim team create a law. The bill that she is turing into a law is that pools should be open later. Her goal was to make this a law within two days, which is pretty fast to turn a bill into a law. She does have people that were voting against it and they were voting for “fun in the sun”. Toms dentist is a very important factor in voting for this bill to become a law and he is the one that is voting against it. Leslie really wants to get this bill to pass as a law because the towns people think that the office people don’t think that they get anything done and she wants to prove that they do. It shows how hard it is to get a bill to pass as a law. People believe that the government aren’t doing anything to help us, but really we don’t see the struggle that they have to go through to get bills to pass. Leslie is a lot older and has been in the government longer than April has so you would think that she had more power over April, but it doesn 't appear that way. April even has to present her proposal to Leslie and other people that are in office. Throughout the whole episode Leslie is begging April to not take that lot and she is also taking April to different lots trying to persuade her to pick somewhere else to create her dog park. Then at the end of the episode, Leslie and April have to work together to work against Jamm who wants to put a fast food restaurant there. Because Leslie and Jamm have the same amount of power, with Leslie and April teaming up will give them more of an
