The song Let Her Go was written by Passenger. Passengers real name is Michael David Rosenberg. He is an English songwriter/singer and was born May 17 1984. I like this song because it has such a good beat and melody to it. It’s a song that you won’t even know you memorize. Out of all the songs I could have chosen, I chose this song because the feeling it has in it. You can feel the heartbreak he felt. Personally, I don’t really listen to any of his music except for this song. I admire how he can write his feelings and perform it.

The songs deeper meaning is that you can’t just take things for granted. The line, “Only know you love her when you let her go” is what he’s trying to tell the audience. Passengers purpose for writing the song is because he was dating a girl and they broke up and he was upset that he let her go. The line, “Cause you loved her too much and you dived too deep” talks about how he loved her so much that he pushed her away; and then realized how much he actually did love her. The story that's told during the song is that he falls in love with a girl. He doesn’t realize how much he actually loves her until it’s too late.
