In the letter written by Jesse Looney, “Letter by one of the immigrants of 1843”, he describes the scenery and the requirements to make this expedition possible for his brother-in-law, James Bond, and his family. Jesse Looney wrote this letter in 1843 in order to inform his brother on how he and his family should prepare for a long vigorous journey that awaits them to the “new country.” It’s important to note that during 1843 there was a lot movement going on from the east coast of the United States towards the newly settled west coast of the country. Nevertheless, the letter thoroughly instructs his brother in law to bring certain items such as, American cattle, clothing, and to bring as much food as possible. Looney does a great job in sort of convincing his brother in law in a sense to also go on the expedition himself.
Throughout history women have been a lower class due to their sex. But not all woman is. Some females are stronger than the mean in their colonies, tribe, etc. Strength does not necessarily mean just big physical muscles, but mentally too. They are devoted a willing to do anything they set their mind too.
I am writing this letter of recommendation for a very dear student of mine; his name is Eddie Bryan Cubillo and he is an exemplary student. I have known Eddie for approximately 5 years and my how he has grown. I met him as a rambunctious student who thought the world revolved around him. Isn’t that the best news? No, but in reality I’m not writing this letter to let you know how Eddie received the best marks in my class or of his intelligence, anyone can be intelligent and receive good marks in a course, no, I am writing this letter to discuss how aware Eddie really is.
Video Response 3 Addressing a student’s needs plays a vital part in the student’s academic success. Understanding one’s needs requires that a teacher take the steps to understanding the child’s personality traits, interests, abilities, disabilities, and so forth. Students are more likely to grasp the interest of learning a specific subject if they feel that the teacher is kind and understanding, just as Trisha and Brittany’s teachers is. Brittany’s mother mentions that a significant change is notable in Brittany’s self-esteem and grades (Kirk, Gallagher, & Coleman, 2015). Trisha certainly associates her good grades to her relationship with her science teacher and identifies her teacher as helpful (Kirk, Gallagher, & Coleman, 2015).
The movie "High Flying Bird" and Harry Edwards' book "The Revolt of the Black Athlete" both explore the complex connection between sports and social issues, specifically the difficulties faced by black athletes and the concept of the political athlete. This essay will examine how the themes from the book were incorporated into the movie and will also examine its portrayal of the political athlete. In addition, how the growth of certain characters were either influenced by Harry Edwards’ book or not. "High Flying Bird" presented a case of the issues that surfaced during the NBA lockout. In terms of what was being offered to them for their talent, the young players were being treated unfairly.

In Ann M. Martins, “Lost Art of Letter Writing,” One of the protagonists Jennifer, a girl in eighth grade with flawless grades, changes throughout the story. Jennifer was given a pen pal named Alice (Allie). In her letters, Jennifer acts snobbish and self-absorbed. She speculates things about Allie. When they keep writing, she becomes less subjective and learns to not infer things about others.
The Toulmin Model is system of analyzation which maybe more pliable but parallel to original syllogisms. Thus, allowing rhetoricians to strip down an argument to its main components and analyze to determine its validity. The six components that are used are: claim, qualifier, rebuttal, grounds for reasoning/evidence, warrant and backing. In motion, this is how the argument should flow. •
With my years of professional experience, along with my undergraduate education, I feel I have a great deal of knowledge and information to contribute the Elliott School, as well as my future classmates. Though testing is necessary with the current structure of evaluating students, there is a conscience effort to improve schooling for students. Hoping to stay teaching in Eastern Washington, I am excited to see teachers setting the foundation for change. I hope that I have the opportunity to not only help my students inside the classroom but also in a more political way that will help students that I am not teaching. Like many things that I’ve experienced in these last ten weeks of class, my thoughts on education have definitely been
Letter from an Unknown Woman CA 1 Style and Stardom Mickaela Farrell 10296509 “…Legendary European director Max Ophüls ' deeply moving, timeless film, considered his greatest and most successful American film but a film, unlike most Hollywood films. …. It demonstrates his lyrical, gliding camera movements, long tracking shots, atmospheric melancholy and romantic dialogue…” As a basis in the film we see the anonymous letter detailing the tragic fate of Lisa Berndl (Joan Fontaine) as being read by Stefan Brand (Louis Jourdan) the letter and begins: “By the time you read this letter, I may be dead . . . If this reaches you, you will know how I became yours when you didn’t know who I was or even that I existed.”
Erin’s desire to learn about her students stems from her determination to engage them in learning and not as an exercise in awareness itself. The diaries are used to inform Erin’s teaching techniques but are not central to her approach as it would be to the facilitator.
Furthermore, while safe spaces can be hubs of conversation, they are however, conversations between like-minded students (Source C). The aforementioned editor, Jonathan Sperling, reiterates the exigency in which college students must experience the plethora of distinct views, opinions, and beliefs of other pupils, in order to gain a well-rounded perspective on different subject matters. Additionally, students are able to learn and grow from these various viewpoints, accumulating an intellectual insight which will better equip them to handle “real world” challenges (Source
