Dear Freshman, Newbies and Choir Family :
Freshman welcome to the beginning of your High School journey! In the beginning it might be scary, but give it couple weeks and you’ll be ok! (trust me) Lucky for you, you have a choir family to help guide you through your journey! These past 3 years have been the best because of choir! You will get so many experiences to make music with not just your fellow choir mates but also with people who also love to make music from all over Florida! Every chance you get take it, don’t let anything to hold you back because you have a choir family to back you up no matter what! If you ever have a question about a certain measure or note don’t be afraid to ask your section leader or Ms. Santiago, they are there to help not judge! Your fellow choir mates may seem intimidating especially the seniors, but remember they were once in your shoes. Remember to have fun and make memories! I know the Choir Family is excited to have you as a member! Joining choir is probably one of the best decisions you made! You will never have another group who will love and support you like this choir (especially Santiago even though she may not say it, her actions prove it and everyone knows the saying actions speak louder than words). It may be daunting knowing t this your first year and you may feel behind but don’t, I was in your shoes I thought it would take me forever to learn solfege, and all the music theory that comes with choir. You have such an amazing director you will learn the basics in two weeks and throughout the year you will learn the rest! I promise you this group will never let get behind! If you ever have any questions, ask! Get involved, do as much as you can take on! There’s so many opportunities to make music and the best
