His use of examples of influential celebrities and textual evidence portrayed his ideology of villain actions in two different settings. He described a villain as one who hurts others through emotional manipulation by ridiculing one self’s image and reputation to gain relevance throughout the world. This is relatable to my point of view because of my personal cyber bullying story. Moreover, this led to another villain that steals materialistic objects to have a financial gain. Klosterman conveys his argument in a coherent way which allows me to connect with him in agreement with his definition of what a villain is.
Heroics in Megamind: Villian to Hero In Megamind the storyteller uses the plot archetype of good vs evil to reveal that we as humans will always have a good to face the evil in the world. This happens because there is always someone brave enough to fight for everyone no matter their past or if they were a hero or a villain. As the movie states there must be a balance in the battle between good and evil.
The villain I chose was, The Grinch. I chose this evil villain because the Grinch is miserable and hates anyone who is happy so the Grinch attempts to take happiness away. A villain is a character whose actions are responsible for, specified trouble , harm, or damage. The Grinch is a evil character in, The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. This revenge-seeking green creature goes out of his way to "steal" Christmas from the people of Whoville.
In a far away city called Metropolis there lived a dictator called Lex Luthor (1 Estate), who abused his power. Lex forced the people (3 Estate) to pay half of all they earned for Lex’s rich lifestyle. The people were ready of change and wouldn’t stop till they got it. The people demanded Lex to hold a meeting at Lex Courts to discuss the purpose of government.
Wicked. Frightening. Monstrous. Known as villains, characters with these characteristics have haunted fairy tales and folk lore for centuries. To precisely classify villains, Lynnette Porter presents guidelines in her book Tarnished Heroes, Charming Villains and Modern Monsters: Science Fiction in Shades of Gray on 21st Century Television.
Villains are a vital part to stories. Without a villain in the story there could be no story. Villains cause conflict; Without conflict you can 't even write a story. I have plenty of villains I like but none compare to my favorite.
Since childhood, we have been forced to engrave in our minds a mental image of what a “villain” must look like. Whether it’s the “big bad” wolf or the cookie “monster”, cliché conventions have become our method of familiarity; a method by which we distinguish hero from villain. Names and monstrous appearances have only enhanced these conventions, thereby making it harder to understand the more complex villains. Thus, two stories will be used to understand the varying range of villains that circulate popular culture in today’s world in an attempt to solidify the basis upon which a character may be deemed a villain or not. The visual representations of villains in Star Wars: A New Hope and Watchmen, prove that villainous nature can range from
A villain has a reason for being who he/she is. The Bat Man series illustrates this concept very well. How the villain was raised and a series of events seem to move the villain into that role. Nobody is interested in reaching out and helping the
The villain archetype is one of my favorite parts of any story. The villain, to me, is the most important part of a story. If the villain, or antagonist, of a story is poorly done, then the entire story falls flat. The villain creates the conflict, and conflict is what separates a good story, from a great one. There are the villains made from tragedy, others are made from traumatic childhoods, and others are just evil to be evil.
Poseidon vs The Joker Imagine, seeing a war between a god and an insane man, this is how you find out who is a better villain. A villain is character whose evil actions or motives are important to the plot, they are terrorist’s in cartoons.
A villain is someone who causes evil to others and is denounced by many people for their actions. The Punisher’s methods of Justice are constantly criticized because he is not the typical superhero: he does not aid the police by capturing the villain, but instead kills them. By killing criminals, one could say that he is a villain because he kills making him the monster that he does not want to be. So why even bother “helping” if he adds to the problem? One may also argue that in making the decision that the antagonists are villains, and they deserve to die, he has made the ultimate decision of life or death.
It would be even more tiring to play the role of such a hero. Therefore, with no hesitation, I choose to play the role of the villain. Villains, on the opposite side of the “goodness” spectrum of heros, are all that’s
A hero can be described as someone who selflessly protects with the reward being self-gratification for the work done. Even though the Punisher is prone to violence, but only to certain individuals whom he targets he is not a threat to society. These targets are criminals, not once has the Punisher hurt an innocent person. In fact, there have been many occasions where the Punisher saved innocent lives. He has given to his community the gift of safety, without asking for nothing in return.
If I were to choose between being a hero or a villain I could not simply make a choice. While many can say without question that they would choose hero because either they feel they are virtuous enough to fit the bill or they feel this way because it is the role that we are taught from a young age is the right way to be, I can not make that that choice so easily. The same goes for a villain, while I feel I may not be evil and society has shaped me against the idea, I do not think it is fair to say that myself, or any person is all good or bad. Deciding whether or not to be principled is an impossible decision for any one person to make. As civilized people, we all strive to be the best person we can be, given our unique and individual
Villain, a character whose evil actions or motives are important to the plot. Just like the definition of villain states, they show traits just like macbeth. In Shakespeare 's “ The Tragedy of Macbeth”, the character Macbeth is displayed as the villain throughout the play. Macbeth shows the readers that his amiton gets in the way and makes him do things that are considered “evil” until the end of the play. Macbeth is thinking to himself that it is not fair that Duncan 's kids will become king so he kills Duncan and has his sons flee.
