Thes good. The story takes place in dublin 1897-1984 when a Sniper in a war listening to gunsh story “The Sniper” by Liam O’Flaherty has a theme that being heartless/fearless is not alwayots and wants to light a smoke but he has the dangers of letting the enemy know where he is. But being as fearless as he is he lights up the match and almost immediately a bullet flattens itself on the parapet of the rooftop. This helps explain my theme that he’s fearless because he took a fearlessly big chance by lighting that match knowing that the enemies could see it. After that he was sitting on the rooftop when an enemy armoured vehicle pulls in 50 yards across the street. “He wanted to fire, but he knew it was useless.” (1) (7) An old lady go by the truck and points to the rooftop where the sniper lay. The gunner on the truck turns towards the roof; The gunners head and shoulders turned toward the sniper. The sniper picks up his rifle and fires. He looks and the gunner fell dead on the turret wall. The old lady that pointed him out started to run to the side of the street and The sniper fired. She fell and lay dead in the gutter. This part of the story helps explain my theme because he shot an old lady heartlessly. He had gotten shot in the right arm by an enemy sniper and couldn't use it. All he had left was his revolver. He tricked the snipe into getting above the parapet and fired, as he looked past the smoke he had seen that the enemy was hit and killed. The enemy fell to the ground and the sniper needed to leave before morning. But he had a curiosity of who the enemy sniper was. He ran toward the dead man and a machine gunner was shooting at him. He got to the man and flipped him over. He then saw the man's face--it was his brother. In conclusion being heartless isn't always good because in the end it can hurt you more than you wanted.
