Title Has your life ever changed direction? For example, when a loved one passed away or because of a marriage. A turning point is when a person’s life changes tremendously. Brian Robeson, Gary Paulsen, and Feng Ru all faced moments when their life changed dramatically and they did something that not only affected them but also affected their country. Perhaps the most significant incident in Brian’s life was when his plane crashed while traveling to his father’s place in Canada. While he was in the Canadian wilderness, Brian gave up until he remembered his teacher Perpich. Brian remembers Perpich and how he always said to “get motivated”(Paulsen). This made him try to survive and not just sit there and wait for people to rescue him. “You are your most valuable asset. Don't forget that. You are the best thing you have”(Paulsen), he remembered. Gary Paulsen put this man into his book Hatchet when he became a writer, he was a pilot having a heart attack while driving with Brian. Gary still remembers this sorrowful accident when he wrote Hatchet. And when he wrote or thought about Harvey, he can’t sleep well after that. ”But I did not sleep well that night when I wrote him into the book and I will not sleep well tonight thinking of his eyes. “(Guts paragraph 11). And this tells the reader that he still remember about Harvey death and he will never forget
