Willa Cather, a creative writer illustrates life through her eyes though the marvelous text called “A Wagner Matinee. Though her vision we learn that there's two different types of people in life. A dog, who is less sophisticated, and lives an on going constant lifestyle that dwells on a lack of traveling, being romantic, and constantly doing repetitive actions to get by their slow boring life. As for a Cat; Wagner describes them as energetic; always finding a new opportunity in life and being able to adapt to it. Cat’s are fantasized to be very romantic and skeptical; if they feel like something isn't right then they will address it. Though their are two types of people in life some, are able to establish traits from both ethnic backgrounds and establish themselves with an identity of both Cat and Dog. Aunt Georgiana very unpredictable outgoing has a strong love for music. Until one day she met the love of her life a “shiftless boy of twenty-one,”(251). Being the cat she is, she decides to be adventurous and ignore her family's dislike of the gentleman and leave everything behind to follow his dreams; little did she know this was her biggest mistake. After many years have gone by she finds herself finally leaving the farm on route to visit her nephew. During her visit Clark her nephew, realizes that his aunt appears to be in a “semi-somnambulant state,”(Cather 252). He who is frightened, wants to remind his aunt of happy times in Boston; so he takes her to a orchestra. During the orchestra the dog in her finally comes out of her when she realizes how important music is to her. During the orchestra she starts crying when she hears the tenor; and realizes that she's not going back to the farm, and back to her dog
