Life is an exploration venture. During one’s lifetime, one discover many things about him and the world around him. This process of learning and exploration keeps on, until he breathes his last. There are some moments in life that reveals some hidden aspects of the man 's personality. Even he himself, doesn’t know about that particular thing about him until that situation.
Jealously is the part of human nature. Seeing someone else have something which we don’t gives birth to feelings of jealously in us. When we feel jealous, we come to know about another aspect of us that we get jealous too. Before that instant, we didn’t know that we had the capacity to envy someone. We are in this illusion of that we are admiring and humble. But when that unexpected situation comes and feel jealous, we get a blow that we are envious too. As in the story, when the make-up artist gets close to Serena, the narrator felt extremely jealous. He never thought that he can be coventuos. When a baby comes to the world, he starts to learn. Most of his learning is from his surroundings. The mentality of a person keeps on changing from time to time. His experiences govern these changes. A person who never thinks that he would be abusive or have any kind of abusive nature in him would surprise to know that an instant will arrive in his life that he would have to choose between violence and peacefulness.
