In the course of my high school experience, I have always had this vigorous desire to challenge myself academically with the most difficult classes. As a freshman, I was among the few students selected to take Biology, a tenth grade course. I was also part of the Honors program, taking Honors World History 9th and Honors World Literature 9th. The following school year, I continued to be part of the Honors program, taking Honors World Literature 10th and my first advanced placement class, AP World History. On my Junior year of highschool,

I have never been a stranger to being placed in a leadership position and I definitely appreciate and embrace the responsibilities that come with it. This was a major reason why I joined the Junior Reserves Officer Training Corps. I was well aware of the fact that this program would open the doors to multiple opportunities at developing my leadership skills. In the duration of my time in the program, I was assigned with various levels of leadership. At the beginning of my sophomore year of high school, I was assigned as a Squad Leader. List dates of employment and what you did. I have never worked during a school year because I prefer to focus on my studies rather than on a job. Notwithstanding, I have worked every summer following my sophomore year. My summer is divided into periods of two weeks. Normally, the first two weeks of June and July are the ones that I spend with my mother due to the fact that my parents are divorced and I have to spend equal amount of time with each one of them. Thus, the third and fourth weeks of June and July I spend with my father. While with my mother, I work with my uncle. He is a maritime mechanic who specializes mostly with boat refrigeration. With him, my tasks vary depending on the job. The majority of the time, I work documenting what we do, or simply handing him the tools. However, when the job is backbreaking, I join him in whatever he needs me to. I often work from Mondays to Fridays, from 7:00Am to 4:00Pm. On the other hand, when I am with my father, I work with a private contractor, Yamixa Mendez, and her company, Mixa Supplies, a a school supply distributing agency. With them, my tasks also vary depending on the task at hand and the workload. On a slow week, my job is at a desk organizing papers or confirming orders. Per contra, on a busy week, my task is often making deliveries, buying supplies, and
