The world is made up of multiple classes there is first class, second class and third class, but in “The Most Dangerous Game”, for Rainsford there are two classes, “The world is made up of two classes - - the hunters and the huntees.” Rainsford explains to his friend Whitney that he believes that mankind is at the top of the food chain and that nothing can hurt them, but does he know that general Zaroff is at the top. There is lots of important lesson that readers learn from Richard Connell’s, but one lesson that we learn from ”The Most Dangerous Game,” is when you trust yourself with your prior knowledge you will survive.
To begin, Rainsford believes that he is a hunter instead of a huntee. He thinks that he is the strong,more intelligent being. This scene explains how foreshadowing is used to displays that Rainsford is going to become the hunted and shows his point of view is going to change throughout the story.
