Live Like You Were Dying is a song that was written by Tim Nichols and Craig Wiseman, and sung by three-time Grammy Award winning country music artist, Tim McGraw. It was released in June of 2004 and became a number one hit on the billboard chart in its first weeks. It also was the 2004 Grammy Award winner for Best Country Song. The song tells about a man who finds out that he doesn 't have long to live, due to an illness. After finding out he decides to do all the things he wanted to do in life and become a better person. The songs meaning reminds people that they shouldn 't take life for granted, that they should get out there and live life to the fullest, become a better version of themselves, and do all the things they dreamed of doing.
