Hobbes vs Locke: Views on Government To begin, two philosophers, Thomas Hobbes and John Locke, both have views on how they picture government. Philosophers are people who create different theories about the world. In their views, they have similarities and differences. They both want what's best for their country, while having their priorities in what the government should do.
