Have you ever felt alone in a room full of people? Anne Frank knows quite a lot about life’s struggles, such as loneliness. When Hitler and the Nazis invaded Holland, the Frank family, who were Jewish, went into hiding. Anne had recently gotten a diary for her thirteenth birthday. Her choice to take the diary into hiding benefited readers as much as it did for herself. Readers were able to see changes in Anne’s political beliefs and her romance life.
