This is a mark in history because she will not only be the first African-American to appear on United States paper currency, but also the first woman in over a century. The original plan was to have a woman replace founding father Alexander Hamilton on the $10 bill. But that plan was revoked according to Jacob Lew, the Treasury Secretary, when the Pulitzer Prize winning Broadway musical portraying Hamilton’s life gained a lot of support, as reported by USA Today.

This is my first time visiting Harborfest because I really do not enjoy ships; however, I enjoyed the good entertainment, food, and friends.

There are about twenty to twenty-five boats getting ready to leave, including Papa’s “The Nereid” boat, to take off for the fishing season. It is a beautiful day with clear skies. All the fishermen were preparing for the long journey, which was unpredicted for how long.

If you were a black celebrity or entertainer they would have to enter through the back door of the casino, walk through the kitchen and get to the stage area to perform.
Long Island is a coastal city made up of many different towns or suburbs adjacent to one of the largest, in scale of population and popularity, cities in the United States. It contains two different counties, Nassau and Suffolk, the richer areas of the Hamptons, home to many celebrities and wealthy individuals looking for a good escape from urban living, and two of the 5 boroughs of New York, Queens and Brooklyn. If it wasn’t already known, it is an Island. Long Island is connected to the city by an underground tunnel and the George Washington Bridge, which subsequently, are the only ways out of Long Island. The island includes relatively flat land with no mountains and with access to a beach being no more then an hour in any direction.
I moved to Point Pleasant when I was in fourth grade. I was scared, afraid and I didn’t know what to make of my new town and school. As the years went on Point Pleasant began to feel like home. Throughout the years of living here, out of all the PTO events there is one that will always stand out. In fifth grade the PTO sponsored a pool party open to the fifth grade of Nellie Bennett.
I grew up in Long Beach, New York which is located approximately 45 minutes away from Manhatten. Long Beach is a tourist town and our small four square mile town doubled in population, from 33,000 to 60,000 people over the summer months. Growing up by the beach was something I took for granted at the time because I was not aware of what a luxury that was until I moved to the middle of Indiana for college. There are two main things you can do in Long Beach and that is going to the beach or eating out. Other than that the town is fairly uneventful.
The waters beyond the town are teeming with fish, and it hosts a rather dynamic marine ecosystem. You’ll be able to see the unique underwater landscape and of course, the various fishes living on it. Ride on a Yellow Submarine If snorkeling isn’t your thing, you can take a ride on a yellow submarine that operates in the town.
