The San Antonio Spurs The San Antonio Spurs were founded in 1967 by Irving Allen Mathews. They were originally named the Dallas Chaparrals, then the Texas Chaparrals, which both played in the ABA, but then were changed to the San Antonio Spurs in 1973 and joined the NBA in 1976. Now the Spurs are one of of the best, if not the best, basketball franchises ever. I think that they are the best because of their consistency of winning.
Valley Forge is a winter camp about 18 miles from Philadelphia. Many colonists are sick and dying since they have little food, and supplies left. On February 1st, 1778, death and illness took over our troops. (Doc A) About 50% of our soldiers are currently sick, and in horrible condition. And since we are close to the end of this winter, around 2,500 people have died.
Valley Forge: Should I re-enlist? The question all soldiers at Valley Forge asked themselves was will I re-enlist? I decided I was going to re-enlist why would I not re-enlist and not let all people whom I’m fighting lose their freedom from a stupid decision I made. Valley Forge sadly was the ugly duck compared to where the Red Coats were staying.
Struggles with family relations. Bullying. Inconformity. All of these are reasons that, at the early age of 16, Rod Dreher, the author of The Little Way of Ruthie Leming, left his home in St. Francisville to pursue his own aspirations, to escape his tormented childhood. However, years later, after having built up a life outside of Starhill, Rod moves back to his old hometown; this happens not because the town, the people, or the social order changed in any manor, but because Rod developed a new perspective on the entirety of that which was St. Francisville, Louisiana.

The exclusive geography of Greater Appalachia and the settlers’ opposition to oppression developed the identity of the region and its inhabitants, which emphasized personal honor and individual liberty. As shown on a resource map of Greater Appalachia, the topography of the region excluded the inhabitants, who were known as Borderlanders, from acquiring necessary resources, such as forests or fish. The Borderlands did not have many resources at hand; items such as timber or oil were more commonly found in the Deep South (Glencoe). Additionally, as mentioned by Colin Woodward in American Nations, “With no roads, trade was almost entirely by barter” (Woodward 104). Because of limited resources and roads, the geography of Greater Appalachia prevented the
Traveling to the feisty state of Texas in the United States of America is such a worthwhile experience on its own that people are just too jaded to notice. But if you wish to know Texas more in a deeper level then head on straight to Corpus Christi and satisfy your want fully. With its placement as the city by the placid lake, Corpus Christi is now being known through the vibrant and exuberant feedback from visitors, making them come back as soon as they left. Spaniard colonizers named the city as such after a Roman Catholic holy day and with the stops and starts that Corpus Christi experienced in the past, everyone can expect nothing but growth and development for the years to come. The Wolves Of Saint Francis Once upon a time in the city of Gubbio, in the Italian province of Perugia, the town folk began whispering among themselves of a wolf seen in the fields that had been coming in and attacking their livestock. It didn’t take long for those whispers to become full-fledged screams as he began attacking humans — and eventually chose to dine solely on them. Gubbio had a real problem on its hands.
It is absurd that when students, who are eager to get to class on time to learn something new, are forced to be late, simply because other students simply stand unmoving in the hallway transfixed on their phones or talking with their friends. As a result, the regular flow of traffic in the hallways at Las Cruces High School are blocked so badly, it is as if you were witnessing a traffic jam at rush hour. This prompts trying to go the bathroom between classes highly improbable, for it is hard enough to make it to class on time without trying to make a stop at the bathroom. Students have resorted to plowing and shoving through people as their only way to possibly make it to class, and be in their seat before the tardy bell rings. I think that
A lot of people come to the city of San Francisco because of its diverse and cultural community. The Mission is the neighborhood where you can see a lot of culture rising within the Latino community. Throughout many years, I have seen the Mission changing and actually being gentrified. That is not the only problem on these streets but also, the new raids of police. You can see so many arrests happening to people of color.
Emma Lang Mr. Miller Class #2 Rosetta Mission Research Paper 2/19/18 Rosetta Mission Have you ever wondered what it would be like to travel 4 billion miles into space in a different atmosphere to discover a dark and dusty comet? The mission of comet 67P/C-G was to accompany it into the solar system, they did this by deploying the philae lander with the help of NASA and making this the first controlled comet.
