Lord Capulet To Blame For Romeo And Juliet's Death

The death of Romeo and Juliet had many killers but three that stand out are Lord Capulet, Friar Lawrence, and Mercutio. Lord Capulet keep her from love and wanted her to get married at suck a young age. Friar Lawrence let Romeo and Juliet get married and gave her the fake poison. Mercutio pushes Romeo to go the party. Therefore they are the reason why Romeo and Juliet are dead. Lord Capulet was one to blame because he was making Juliet marry Paris but she didn’t like paris she wanted Romeo. Capulet said, ”Hang thee, young baggage! Disobedient wretch!/ I tell thee what-get thee what get to church a Thursday/Or never after look me in the face./ Speak not, reply not, do not answer me!/ My fingers itch. Wife, we scarce thought us blest/That God had lent us but this only child;/ but now i see this one is one to much,/ And that we have a curse in having her./ Out on her, hilding!”(3.5.165) Capulet wants Juliet to marry Paris, but she didn’t want to. Friar said,”Her nurse is privy; and if aught in this/ Miscarried by fault let my old life/ Be sacrificed some hour before his time/ Unto the rigor of severest law.”(5.3.266) In this quote it states that Friar admits that it was his fault because he helped them get married. Friar should have said to let her go but he was thinking of peace between the family if they get married. But failed, because they both killed themselves to be together.
