In the tragedy “Romeo and Juliet”, the character most at fault for the deaths of the lovers is Lord Capulet. To begin, Capulet goes on a furious tirade when Juliet refuses to marry Paris, even insisting he will kick her out and leave her to die. First, he calls her a spoiled child, a coward, and an anemic piece of dead flesh, saying that if she does not agree to the marriage he will haul her to the ceremony in a cart for criminals; even Lady Capulet is alarmed by his behavior (Romeo and Juliet, 3.5.167-177). Then, he calls her a disobedient wretch and says his fingers itch to hit her, and rudely dismisses the Nurse when she dares to stand up for Juliet (3.5.180-200). Lastly, he threatens to kick Juliet out of the house if she does not cooperate,
