In the play, Romeo and Juliet, there are several significant details that help the reader understand the people who were to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. First, the character Capulet, Juliet’s father. Another important detail is that if it wasn’t for his feud with Romeo’s family, this would’ve never happened. The third detail important to the play is that Friar Lawrence had a part to this for doing favors for them knowing it was a high risk and not looking completely through his plan. Also, significant is Tybalt’s fault as well because he was always looking for problems with Romeo. Finally, the Shakespeare tells that simple or big things people do, it can cause horrible damage. In document D “Disobedient witch” it states, “To go with Paris to Saint Peters church, or I will drag you on a hurdler thither.” Capulet should not have said such things to Juliet because it just made her want to rebel more and do the opposite of what her father said because she knew for a fact Romeo was the one she wanted to marry and be with. The feud The Capulets and The Montagues had against each other did not help but made things worse. If their families weren’t enemies this would not have happened either, they should’ve ended their feud long ago and this tragedy would have been prevented. Also because of their feud, Romeo and Juliet had to rebel and secretly marry each other. Capulet also tells Juliet if she does not marry Paris to never look him in the face again and that she will be disowned. This might have made Juliet very pressured and sad, her own father telling her that she will be disowned from the family made her feel like she had to marry Paris but the love she had for Romeo would not let her. In Document E, “A great power” it states, “The letter was not nice, but full of charge, of dear import, and the neglecting it may do much danger.” Basically, saying that Friar Lawrence’s friend, Friar John, was unable to deliver the letter to Romeo informing him that Juliet was not actually dead. Romeo was already notified by the news and was not in believe of how horrible the news was. If Friar Lawrence would have thought this completely through, then there would have been no problem. Both him and Juliet could have somehow notified him before doing what they were planning. Friar Lawrence should have never given the drug to Juliet in the first place, the drug that would make her seem dead for 42 hours was a bad idea. If Juliet would’ve never token the drug, then Romeo would’ve never gotten the news that she was dead and neither of them would have died.
