In the novel, Lord Of The Flies, the author William Golding used symbols such as the conch and the Lord of The Flies to show the worlds chaotic society and human nature’s primitive ways. The Lord of the Flies is a character that can be represented in many ways however, it best shows that the boys on the island are all losing their minds and more. Throughout the book, a severed pig head on a stake is known as the “Lord of the Flies”. The author writes, “ ‘we are going to have fun on this island’ “ (p. 144).
