Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson is an overall good novel, discussing the topic of loss in an inspiring way. This well-written novel follows a lonely child called Jess and another lonely child, Leslie, their new friendship, and what becomes of it. Katherine Paterson did a brilliant job of showing how a loved one's passing can lead to positive occurrences. Beginning with the introduction of Jess and the introduction of his dream of being the fastest kid in the fifth grade. He does not achieve this dream when the day of the race comes, the new kid, the odd kid, Leslie, wins the race.
