Night is not merely just about a little boy during the awful time in the holocaust, it’s about how one would be able to endure all of the pain and yet not lose sight of their faith or religion. The main character is Eliezer’s.Eliezer is the son of the man i don’t remember but anyway eliezer is a jew in a concentration camp which is awful. In the story the reader will see from from eliezer’s perspective because while he is experiencing these events he thinks about it in his mind so psychological he will explain what’s happening in the camp.Eliezer however does have a father and friend,the father's name is hardly ever used throughout the story.Sholom is a guy who sticks by eliezer’s because both are having the same problem.The problem with …show more content…

But eliezer has been taught that god is the only way that god is always watching you, that god is what created the very existence of this world that without god there would be nothing,because of this he has to believe what they teach the him from a small age because if not god will know, god will only bring pureness to those who believe in him .However his belief in this purity of god tends to get shaken by the evilness of the holocaust,the reader must understand that eliezer is just a young little boy he is innocent he does not understand,by watching what they do in these concentration camps he has to witness cruelty and pain but how in the world could this reflect god's divinity?Even so after the questioning and all that eliezer still believes in god because he comes to realize that in some of his experiences miracles have saved him, he asks a man named moshe “why do you pray?” and the man replies “I …show more content…

I, his only son! this shows how the person who is stating this is obviously saying it with emotion and saying it straightforward to someone, the reader can probably conclude that this can also be a thought in the character's mind.And this is all in 1st person perspective because whenever it’s someone stating something it’s always on them it’s like they have the spotlight at the moment they are talking. Another literary device used in this novel is similes example:He looked us over as if we were a pack of leprous dogs hanging onto our lives.Elli also made the characters question each other a lot in the story. A lot of cause and effect go on in the story because there were rules at the camp so if the jews broke any rule or disobeyed they would get punishment, it really didn’t matter because either way all of them will eventually
