My dad always said that he saw something in my eyes on the day I was born that made him fall in love instantly. Later on in life I asked him what exactly he saw, to which he replied “Innocence.” I wasn't sure exactly what he meant, but as I grew I came to realised everyone is born with innocence, a blank canvas, and you get all your personality traits as you experience things and grow as a person. In my lifetime, I have learned through my numbered experiences that my most prominent features were my tenacity, my farouche tendencies and my ability to be empathetic when no one else is able to, all of which are important to who I am today. Empathy, in my eyes, is a very important part of someone's character and I look for it in other people just because you don't come by it very often. My ability to empathize with other people is one of my best traits in my opinion, although it does get me in trouble every now and again. My friends normally come to me when they need advice just because I am able to place myself in the shoes of everyone and look at things from everyone's perspective which gives me insights on why people did what they did and how they feel. I find that i don't easily get angry with people because I know why they do what they do, or I try to understand it anyway. It can get me into pickles sometimes though. I have had a couple of friends that have been depressed in the past and they used to talk to me a lot. That really took a toll on my mental health, only because I started feeling sad and upset because they were either sad or upset. It also gets me involved in other people's problems that I wouldn't necessarily want to be involved in, but maybe that's just high
